Security & Privacy
Flange Bolt Chart is a reference tool — not a data collection platform. We collect only what is necessary to operate the service and keep your account working.
Data handling
The mobile app stores all reference data locally on your device. Lookups happen on-device and do not require an internet connection.
When you create an account, we store your email address and subscription status to manage access. Account data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS encryption in transit).
The web tool operates in your browser. Lookup queries are processed client-side and are not logged on our servers.
Privacy practices
Our app store privacy disclosures reflect our actual data practices:
- No data is shared with third parties for tracking or advertising purposes.
- Usage data and diagnostics (crash reports, performance metrics) are collected to improve app stability. This data is not linked to your identity.
- Data is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS.
Third-party services
We use a limited number of third-party services to operate the product:
- Analytics — anonymized usage metrics to understand how the app is used and prioritize improvements.
- Error monitoring — crash and error reporting to identify and fix issues quickly.
- Payment processing — subscriptions are handled through Apple App Store, Google Play, or authorized payment processors. We do not store credit card information.
Data deletion
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. To request deletion, email us at security@flangeboltchart.com from the email address associated with your account.
Upon receiving a valid request, we will delete your account data and confirm completion within 30 days.
